ZED

ZED

Bio

Since 2007, ZED has been delivering riff-driven punishment from the San Francisco Bay Area. No gimmicks. No trends. No chasing whatever’s cool this week. Just loud, groove-heavy rock built to shake walls, split amps, and leave bruises.

At the center of the storm are guitarist/vocalist Peter Sattari and bassist Mark Aceves, the engine that’s powered ZED for nearly two decades. In April 2026, the band welcomed lead guitarist Nico Santiago after the departure of longtime guitarist Greg Lopez, ushering in a new era without changing a damn thing about the mission. With previous stops in Dröm, NMTA and Greedy Lion, Santiago arrived armed with blistering leads, fearless stage presence, and the kind of chemistry that feels less like a replacement and more like destiny.

ZED’s story is also one of resilience. The devastating loss of drummer Sean Boyles could have ended the band, but Sean made his wishes known after he passed: keep the music alive. Those words became the band’s marching orders.

Enter drummer David Hechim, whose powerhouse playing brought fresh momentum without sacrificing the soul that made ZED who they are. The result is a band that’s tighter, meaner, and hungrier than ever.

Signed to Ripple Music, ZED doesn’t deal in nostalgia or reinvention. They deal in riffs, volume, sweat, and the kind of rock ‘n’ roll that still smells like hot tubes, spilled beer, and bad decisions.

No polish. No apologies. No reverse gear.

Turn it up. Get out of the way.
