Swedens stonermetal berserkers #1, 10,000 Years, return with their eagerly awaited new album to once again pummel the world into oblivion!

Formed in the plague year of 2020, 10,000 Years has wasted no time forging their signature brand of skull-crushing stoner metal. Across three records in as many years — including II, which earned them a nomination for Best Metal at the Swedish Independent Grammys (Manifest) — the band has proven relentless.

In 2024 the band signed with underground heavyweights Ripple Music which heralded the arrival of ”All Quiet On The Final Frontier”, an album that made serious waves in the scene and saw the Riff still reigning supreme, but with a newly melodic edge described as “an experience that’s as heavy as it is spiritual” by The Sleeping Shaman and “the psychedelic-stoner embodiment of science fiction” by Ghost Cult Magazine.

The new album, titled ”Esox Lucifer”, continues to build on the songwriting and new sense of direction of the previous release, as 10,000 Years blends crushing riffage and melodic sensibilities into a sound uniquely their own. Delving deep into existential dread and dark lore, Esox Lucifer drifts through deep space with the same sci-fi, horror, and fantasy obsessions that have always fueled the band. As such, ”Esox Lucifer” is chock full of everything that 10,000 Years has become known for; riffcentric and melodic stonermetal championed by the guitar wizardry and blistering solos of Erik Palm, the thunderous drumming of Alvin Risberg and Alex Risbergs fuzzed out bass and howling vocals.

”Esox Lucifer” presents the bands most ambitious work yet and one which showcases a band in full control of all their powers as it promises to expand both their legend and their fanbase.
